حَتَّى وَلَوْ خَانَتْكَ فَاتِنَةٌ 
وَبَاعَكَ صَاحِبٌ 
ونُفِيْتَ مِنْ عَرْضِ البلادِ إِلَى الْعَرَاءْ 
حَتَّى وَلَوْ سَلَبُوكَ صَوْتَكَ خِلْسَةً
أَوْ قَايَضُوا بِكَ سِلْعَةً
أَوْ أَلْصَقُوا بِكَ تُهْمَةً كُبْرَى 
وَأَغْرُوا كُلَّ خِصْيَانِ القبيلةِ 
بالحديثِ عليكَ وَالسُّفَهَاءْ
لا تَبْكِ منْ أَلَمٍ 
وغَرِّدْ شَامِخًا

وَاسْكُبْ عَلَى الْأَحْزَانِ زَيْتَ الْكِبْرِيَاءْ
حَتَّى وَلَوْ كَانَتْ مُؤَامَرَةً 
لِقَتْلِكِ عَارِيًا
لِيَرَوْكَ فِي التِّلْفَازِ
مَفْضُوحًا بِدُونِ غِطَاءْ
غَرِّدْ بِجُرْحِكَ شَامِخًا
لَا شَيْءَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ 
إِلَّا أَنْ تُوَاجِهَ بالغِنَاءْ 
يا أَيُّهَا العُصْفُورُ 
صوتُكَ أَلْفُ سيفٍ 
حينَ يَسْتَوْلِي النَّشَازُ

Even if you are betrayed

 by a beautiful belle, 

sold by an intimate friend,

and banished  from your homeland

to outdoors.

Even if they, stealthily, stole your tongue

Or exchanged you with a commodity

Or  you are falsely accused  of a big charge

And instructed the tribe's fools

to talk  badly about you

and given bad names  

Do not weep from pain

and  proudly  chant

Pour on the sorrows the oil of pride

Even if it were a plot

To kill  you naked,

To watch you on television

Disgraced without cover ,

Chant proudly with your wound

You can do nothing but  

to encounter  with singing

Oh ..  bird!

Your voice is stronger than

 thousand  swords

When the discordance blindly

takes  command of  the space
